Lawdragon Names Valecia McDowell to 500 Leading Lawyers in America List

Moore & Van Allen PLLC (MVA) is pleased to announce that Member Valecia M. McDowell was selected for the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America guide, Lawdragon’s longest running list.

McDowell, co-head of MVA’s White Collar, Regulatory Defense & Investigations team, head of the firm’s Civil Rights & Racial Equity Assessments team, and Member of the firm's Management Committee, was recognized in Lawdragon’s Government & Internal Investigations and Civil Rights categories.

According to Lawdragon’s 2024 commentary, the 500 Leading Lawyers guide celebrates the “amazing lawyers” who “embody the restless spirit of the law in America these days ... a 500 lawyers of the year, if you will.” The 2024 honorees, who include Supreme Court Justices, finance specialists, crisis managers, and private equity dealmakers, were chosen based on Lawdragon’s extensive research process.

McDowell is a national thought leader in the areas of governmental and internal investigations, conduct risk management, and civil rights and racial equity assessments. She has experience conducting large scale internal and governmental investigations reviews across the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America, with specific knowledge and experience in the areas of consumer finance and employee conduct risk, including practice and company-wide reviews and racial equity assessments.
