Leslie Pedernales serves as judge for 2024 ABA Forum - First Amendment and Media Law Diversity Moot Court Competition

Moore & Van Allen (MVA) was proud to sponsor the Diversity Moot Court at the ABA Forum on Communications Law’s Annual Meeting in Santa Barbara. MVA Public Affairs and Media Counsel Leslie Pedernales served as a judge for the semi-final competition. All of the participants did a fantastic job of arguing first amendment issues in a changing media landscape. The annual First Amendment and Media Law Diversity Moot Court Competition, now in its 16th year, is designed to introduce diverse law students to the practice of media law and to lawyers active in the communications law bar. The competition offers cash awards for superior performance in appellate briefing and oral argument.
