MVA Supports Wills for Heroes

This year, as we remember the anniversary of September 11, MVA was proud to once again sponsor and partner with the North Carolina Bar Foundation (NCBF), Bank of America, McGuireWoods and Bradley to assist local first responders with preparing estate planning documents for the Wills for Heroes event held at the Bank of America Urban Garden on September 11.

MVA Veterans John Allen and Camille Essick attended the memorial service held at Bank of America, alongside 24 MVA volunteers that participated in the full day of events. Wills for Heroes, a pro bono program of the North Carolina Bar Foundation, has been in existence in North Carolina for more than a decade. Wills for Heroes provides to eligible first responders and their families free estate planning documents: simple Wills, Health Care Powers of Attorney, Power of Attorney, and advance directives.
