The Daily Report/Law.com highlights the arrival of David Freda to Moore & Van Allen
Moore & Van Allen (MVA) Commercial Real Estate Member David Freda was profiled in the Law.com Daily Report article titled, “On the Move: Moore & Van Allen Adds Finance Partner From Morris Manning” which was published on December 4.

Freda joined the Am Law 200 firm in Charleston, South Carolina, after moving from Atlanta, he said. His practice focuses on “intricate real estate equity finance and corporate transactions, in addition to managing the process and closing of commercial real estate acquisitions and financings in all asset classes,” according to the firm.
H. Manning Unger, who co-leads the Charleston office, said Freda has “deep industry knowledge and breadth of capabilities” that will benefit Moore & Van Allen in South Carolina.
Managing partner and chair Thomas Mitchell said Freda’s “significant, growing client base and practice focus in the areas of real estate equity finance and corporate transactions makes him a tremendous addition to the firm.”
Freda said in an interview he joined Moore & Van Allen because it was “an esteemed full-service law firm with an experienced and talented commercial real estate group, depth of capabilities and a client-centric mindset.
“The clients I work with operate in the commercial real estate space, undertaking sophisticated transactions that require various subject matter expertise, in addition to core real estate counsel,” Freda said. “My experience with Moore & Van Allen has been consistently professional, polished and on point.”
His clients include regional and national developers, investors and operators in the industrial, office, multifamily, and mixed-used sectors in commercial real estate transactions that include acquisitions, development, restructurings and exits, the law firm stated in an announcement of Freda’s move.
Freda added he relocated from Atlanta to South Carolina and will practice in the firm’s Charleston office. He does not plan to change his practice with the move to Moore & Van Allen, he said.
“Moore & Van Allen’s full-service [commercial real estate] department maintains values and philosophies consistent with my own, which will ensure I can seamlessly continue the core elements of my practice,” he said.
