Moore & Van Allen Member Charles Jordan Honored by Charleston Business Magazine
Moore & Van Allen PLLC (MVA) is pleased to announce that Health Care Member Charles M. Jordan, Jr. was named to Charleston Business Magazine’s 50 Most Influential for 2024 list, which recognizes individuals in the greater Charleston business community who have made an economic or quality-of-life impact in the region.
Jordan was selected based on his practice leadership and reach, as well as community commitments. All the 2024 honorees were featured in the publication’s January/February 2025 issue.
Jordan focuses his practice on a variety of transactional, contractual, and regulatory matters involving MVA’s health care clients. Leveraging his experience and background in business transactions, he has guided clients through a number of complex acquisitions and joint ventures. He has also advised on internal compliance investigations and policy development, and compliance with state fraud and abuse laws, the Stark Law, the False Claims Act, and the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute. These clients include some of South Carolina’s largest academic medical centers, regional health care systems, and community hospitals, as well as a number of physician groups, medical professional staffing companies, medical billing companies, and other inpatient and outpatient service providers.
Jordan has also been active in the South Carolina Bar Association’s Health Care Law Section Council, including previously serving as chair. In 2023, he was one of just 42 individuals selected to participate in the distinguished Diversity Leaders Initiative, an award-winning program of Furman University’s Riley Institute. Jordan also currently serves on the Charleston Regional Development Alliance’s Board of Directors and chairs its Leadership Development Committee.
