Cole Quoted in Managing Intellectual Property

Charlotte Intellectual Property attorney Kate Cole was quoted in the Managing Intellectual Property article “US Customs Set to Share Information Again” on March 23.  The article addresses the Foreign Counterfeit Prevention Act, House Bill 4216, which would provide IP owners with more information from US Customs officers about suspected counterfeits.

“This is a welcome change,” Cole states.  “I can tell you it’s very difficult to determine whether certain goods are in fact counterfeit. Sometimes they do a really good job of making it look like the real thing.”
