Employment & Labor Member Discusses Employee Internet Regulations

Charlotte Member Karin McGinnis was quoted in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) article "Pentagon Case Highlights Need for HR to Have Clearer Rules About Internet, Porn," which published on August 5.  The article addressed news that Pentagon employees and contractors with high-level security clearances were downloading and buying child pornography over the Internet at work.

McGinnis told SHRM that the Pentagon case serves as a reminder that "'some employees lack even the most basic common sense and believe they can do what they want with their employers’ resources.'"
