Firm Named for CLT Joules Support
Moore & Van Allen was named for its support of energy incubator CLT Joules in The Charlotte Observer on August 22. The article, “Uptown startup hub CLT Joules fuels clean-energy innovation,” provides a snapshot of some of the clean-energy work being developed through CLT Joules. Products include a material that harvests heat and motion to recharge a phone, a light bulb that stays on during power outages, and “bio-coal” made of organic wastes.
MVA committed to a three-year partnership with CLT Joules, which includes a financial donation as well as ongoing pro bono services. MVA Intellectual Property Associate Patrick Horne serves as the Firm’s point person for pro bono efforts, assessing legal needs and placing cases as they come through.
