Litigation Member George Hanna was pictured and quoted in The North Carolina State Bar Journal’s Winter 2012 issue. Hanna was recognized in the “NC IOLTA Grantee Spotlight“ for having received the Distinguished Pro Bono Service lifetime achievement award at the first ever Pro Bono Awards in September. The Awards were put on by Legal Aid of NC, Legal Services of Southern Piedmont and the Council for Children’s Rights.
“’Participating in and supporting pro bono efforts is not merely a benefit for the client; it is a rewarding and enriching endeavor as counsel. We as lawyers have the unique and privileged opportunity to increase access to counsel and legal assistance for those in need…’” Hanna stated.
