MVA Participates in Carolinas Directors Exchange
Charlotte Corporate members Mike DeLaney and James Wyche, along with Employee Benefits & Compensation member Danny Johnson, were key participants in the second Carolinas Directors Exchange event, Governance Issues Facing Boards: An update for CFOs and GCs. The event, held on March 27 at Quail Hollow Country Club, engaged board members, senior executives and general counsel from across the region for networking and discussion on current issues and best practices.
DeLaney served as the moderator of the “Governance Challenges and Concerns” panel. Wyche served as one of the panelists, alongside Joia Johnson, chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary of Hanesbrands, Inc.; and James Helvey, a founding partner of Cassia Capital Partners.
Johnson served as a panelist on the “Emerging Executive Compensation Issues” panel. His co-panelists included Charlie Federico, chairman of the Mako Surgical and BioMimetic Therapeutics compensation committees, and SRI Surgical board chairman; and John Sherman, chairman of the Albemarle Corporation Compensation Committee.
SPX President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Kearney was the keynote speaker.
