McGinnis Discusses EEOC Lawsuit

Charlotte Member Karin McGinnis was quoted in an HR Compliance Bulletin spotlight article in October.  The piece discusses the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s lawsuit against Costco over a customer’s harassment.

"Under federal law, an employer absolutely has an obligation to take prompt, effective, remedial action if employee is harassed by a customer, client, vendor or other third party.  The obligation is the same as when the harassment comes from an employee," McGinnis stated.
