McGrath Addresses Carbon Rules

Charlotte Environmental Member Peter McGrath was quoted in Law360 on May 29, in the article “What to Watch for as White House Unveils Carbon Rules.”  The article previewed the rules capping carbon emissions from existing power plants that President Barack Obama was poised to unveil, stating they would fundamentally alter how energy is produced and consumed in the U.S.

"'I think that what the regulators are really going to focus on is cap and trade, with regulators really focusing on how they can get systems, either state by state or through regional compacts, set up in time to be effective and meet the deadlines required by the rule,’" he told Law360.
