Moore & Van Allen Member Receives 40 Under 40 Award
Moore & Van Allen Charlotte Member Jeremy Godwin was named to the Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2011. The 40 Under 40 program, which was established 18 years ago, recognizes men and women under the age of 40 based on their outstanding achievements in both business and community involvement.
Godwin, a member of the firm’s management committee and corporate practice group, represents Fortune 500 companies and other corporate clients in their most complex and high-profile matters. Godwin’s greatest business accomplishment within the past year was his leadership role on a team that helped one of the firm’s largest clients to establish a significant join venture with a multinational partner.
Godwin was included in Business North Carolina’s 2010 and 2011 Legal Elite lists, and sits on Carmel Country Club’s Board of Directors. He is an active supporter of St. John’s Episcopal Church and preschool, Charlotte Latin School and The Charity League. Godwin earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Davidson College, and his master’s and juris doctorate degrees from Wake Forest.
Class of 2011 winners were recognized during a March 21 cocktail reception at the McGlohon Theatre.
