Pedernales Teaches Media Law at Charlotte School of Law

Charlotte Public Affairs Associate Leslie Pedernales taught a course on Mass Media Law offered at the Charlotte School of Law this past Spring.  This was the first time the class had been offered at CSL as part of their upper-level curriculum and 67 students were enrolled.

Pedernales’ background in broadcasting helped bring a practical approach to the subject.  “The goal of the course is to provide students with a working understanding of current media law issues, the tools they need to approach those issues, and access to the resources to solve them,” Pedernales stated.  Pedernales will also teach the class in Fall 2013 when the Charlotte School of Law moves into its new Uptown Charlotte location.
