“The North Carolina Class Action,” Presented at the North Carolina Superior Court Judges' Summer Conference

On June 19, 2013, Litigation member Tony Lathrop presented “The North Carolina Class Action” at the 2013 NC Superior Court Judges’ Summer Conference hosted by the UNC School of Government in Asheville, NC. Lathrop’s presentation to the state’s Superior Court Judges provided an overview of North Carolina class action law related to the critical judicial decision points in the life of a class action, including class certification, the review and approval of proposed settlements, and the award of fees for class counsel.
