As we start 2024, we take this time to reflect on all we have accomplished together in 2023. We were excited to have welcomed a number of new team members across our practice areas, received national recognition by reputable industry outlets such as Financial Times, Chambers, and Best Lawyers in America, and also shared many milestones and celebrations with our partners.
|
In 2023, we supported our communities by providing over 6,250 hours of volunteer service and over 5,700 hours of pro bono legal services to 200+ clients. We also expanded our business resource groups fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace that provides our employees with opportunities to be heard, valued, and engaged. Additionally, MVA was recognized with a Legal Department Outside Counsel Diversity Award, has once again received a top score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index, and was named a 2023 Lawyers of Color (LOC) Aspire Diversity Award winner.
We would like to take this moment to thank all our alumni and clients for another year of partnership. We look forward to more connections in 2024!

Upcoming CLE
MVA will host the University of North Carolina School of Law CLE titled “ABCs of Banking Law” on March 26. This CLE program introduces the banking law regulatory structure. It is designed for young attorneys and those who desire a basic framework in banking law, including in-house bank attorneys who do not work directly on bank regulatory issues, and business lawyers who want to understand how banking law impacts the banks with which their clients interact.
