MVA celebrated its longstanding commitment to public service by hosting the 23rd Annual Sally & Bill Van Allen Public Service Award luncheon on June 13. This annual event serves as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our employees and community partners who are making significant service contributions.

We are pleased to announce that Sarah Byrne was named as a Public Service Committee Co-chair, serving alongside current Co-chair, Ed O’Keefe. Established in 2001, our Public Service Committee leads the firm’s public service and pro bono efforts by identifying, coordinating, and facilitating opportunities for MVA attorneys and business professionals. Each project is managed by a volunteer project leader who coordinates efforts with the firm’s community partner organizations. To learn more about our commitment to service, view our 2024 Annual Service Report, which details our investments and valued community partnerships.

Upcoming CLE
September 25, 2024: CLE - CSI & PHI & PII, Oh My!
Wild about data? In this CLE, you’ll learn to tame the legal jungle of CSI, PHI & PII! Develop a high-level understanding of Confidential Supervisory Information (CSI), Protected Health Information (PHI), and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) -- the lions, tigers, and bears of the digital wilderness. Learn what these types of information are and aren’t, understand the legal obligations and implications associated with each, and why every attorney, regardless of practice area, should be aware of the heightened responsibilities with respect to this information.
Presented by MVA General Counsel Caroline Yingling and MVA Attorneys.
