Caroline Yingling serves as Moore & Van Allen’s General Counsel. As general counsel, Caroline is the firm’s in-house counsel on matters related to risk management, professional liability, and legal ethics.

Overview

Caroline oversees the conflicts department, works with firm management to assess and address issues pertaining to risk and compliance, advises the Firm and its attorneys on the rules of professional conduct and ethics, and develops and maintains resources for firm attorneys on areas of professional responsibility and ethics. When necessary, Caroline manages outside counsel in litigation matters concerning the firm and advises the firm on personnel matters.  

Prior to serving as general counsel, Caroline was a member of Moore & Van Allen’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring group, representing secured and unsecured creditors, particularly lenders and other financial institutions, in restructuring troubled credit facilities. She has also assisted lenders facing intercreditor issues, as well as companies in corporate workouts.
