Overview

Emily Kocher is a law clerk on Moore & Van Allen’s Litigation group. Emily joins the firm after serving as a judicial intern for the Honorable David C. Keesler at the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.

Emily served as Executive Comments Editor of the North Carolina Civil Rights Law Review and president of UNC Women In Law during law school. During her final year, Emily was a clinical student in UNC Law’s Domestic and Sexual Violence Clinic where she represented clients in private tort suits and obtaining Domestic Violence Protection Orders and simple divorces. She was was awarded the Sarah J. Parker Academic Scholarship from the North Carolina Association for Women Attorneys.

Emily also worked as an international governance legal analyst for Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. She received her J.D. with honors and her B.A. in Journalism and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
