Kelsey Rector is an associate in the Litigation group focusing her practice on complex civil litigation and internal investigations. Kelsey is attentive to each client’s goals and develops creative strategies to help achieve them.

Overview

Kelsey focuses her practice on commercial disputes, estate litigation, and internal investigations. 

In law school, Kelsey actively engaged her litigation skills as a competitor in multiple national trial competitions. She participated in her school’s Litigation Clinic, developing her advocacy capabilities inside NC courts. She was the recipient of the Robert Goldberg Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and is a member of the Order of the Barristers.

Prior to law school, Kelsey was a high-school English teacher in a low-income school in Guilford County. Her experience developing relationships in her classroom and breaking down complex topics into understandable pieces translates directly to her practice as a litigator.
