As an associate on the Investment team, Paul Clowes’ practice focuses on the representation of institutional investors, hedge funds, business development companies, small business investment companies, private equity groups, and sponsors in their investment, buy-out, and finance transactions

Overview

Paul represents clients on a wide range of financial services transactions focused primarily on equity investment in connection with buy-out, co-investment, and mergers and acquisitions-related transactions.

Paul brings an understanding of the needs of entrepreneurs and start-up businesses through his experience directing a transatlantic sports recruitment company and consulting for a start-up business in the United Kingdom. He was the founder of a company providing career transition services to professional athletes and continues to serve enterprises seeking to hire current and former professional athletes.

He earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and received a business degree from Clemson University, where he was an All-American soccer player. Prior to law school, Paul played professional soccer in the United States and Europe for several years. He is a native of Manchester, England.
