Overview
Reid’s practice focuses on representing banks, credit unions, financial entities, and other creditors in bankruptcy, restructuring, and workout matters, both in and out of court. In bankruptcy court, he represents creditor clients in both commercial and consumer matters, and has also served as counsel to unsecured creditors’ committees and commercial debtors. He also advises clients on a variety of out-of-court restructurings, resolving disputes without the necessity of litigation. Additionally, Reid represents creditor clients in litigation matters ranging from complex commercial matters to consumer issues, in both state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, concentrating on the prosecution of foreclosure and collection actions.
Prior to joining the firm, Reid served as a law clerk to the Hon. William L. Stocks (retired) in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
