Thomas "Tom" A. Dozeman

Tom ‘s practice focuses on representing clients with a wide range of transactional matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, drafting corporate governance documents, commercial contracts, and acquisition agreements. He provides strategic counsel for corporate reorganizations and represents start-up companies through their initial formation and early business planning. Tom also works closely with private equity clients during their initial platform investment stage and tack-on acquisition transactions navigating complex regulatory compliance issues and earn out obligations.

Tom earned his B.A., from the University of Michigan and his J.D., from Vanderbilt Law School. Prior to joining the firm, Tom practiced at Stites & Harbison PLLC.

Representative Experience

• Represented client in a $565 million strategic acquisition of a new line of business
• Represented a private equity firm in an $89 million acquisition of new line of business operating in the insurance industry
• Represented private equity firm in a $50 million add-on acquisition
