Moore & Van Allen (MVA) White Collar, Regulatory Defense and Investigations Members Valecia McDowell and Tanisha Palvia taught the Internal Investigations course during the winter session for Duke Law.

Moore & Van Allen Member and Head of Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice Zach Smith, and Member Alan Pope, will be co-teaching a new course at Duke Law this fall semester titled “Corporate Restructuring and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy – In Practice”.

MVA Financial Regulatory Advice & Response Members Ed O’Keefe and Neil Bloomfield, Financial Services Member Tom Pennington, and Investment Management Member Colby Jenkins served as guest lecturers in the Duke University Law School spring semester class co-taught by Alan Pope and Zach Smith.

Moore & Van Allen (MVA) Co-head of the White Collar, Regulatory Defense and Investigations practice and a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Valecia McDowell, will be teaching the LAW 832 - Internal Investigations course during the winter session for Duke Law on February 19 and 20.

MVA Member and Head of Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice Zach Smith will serve as a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke Law for the Wintersession course titled, “Advising a Distressed Enterprise and Its Stakeholders.” 

Charlotte Bankruptcy Member and Team Leader Zach Smith, and Bankruptcy Member Alan Pope, have been invited by Duke Law to teach “Structuring and Regulating Financial Transactions” during Duke Law’s spring 2018 semester. Charlotte Bankruptcy Associate Gabe Mathless will be serving as a teaching assistant for the course. Smith will also be teaching “Advising a Distressed Enterprise and Its Stakeholders” during Duke Law’s Wintersession.
