MVA Members and Client Participate as Guest Speakers in Duke Law Class

This past Monday, MVA Co-Head of Investment Team Ryan Smith and MVA Client Steve Hale (Hale Capital Management), participated as guest speakers in a fall semester class at Duke Law taught by Co-Head of Bankruptcy & Restructuring Zach Smith. Ryan and Steve spoke with the class on distressed investing topics, lessons learned and career advice to graduating law students, and, occasionally, the UNC/Duke rivalry. The class, Corporate Restructuring and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy – In Practice, has featured other MVA guest speakers including Co-head of Trademark Michele Glessner, and Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Member Alan Pope.
