Moore & Van Allen Member Lesley Lewis Named to 50 Most Influential Women of 2018 List
Moore & Van Allen is pleased to announce that Corporate Member Lesley Lewis has been named to the "50 Most Influential Women" list for 2018 by The Mecklenburg Times. Lewis was formally recognized in The Mecklenburg Times and at the awards presentation on Friday, May 18, at the Hilton Charlotte Center City.
Lewis practices with the firm’s Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups. Her practice includes a broad range of corporate transactional matters, with a focus on mergers, acquisitions, private equity investments and corporate finance transactions. She also assists clients with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and advises clients on corporate governance issues.
Lewis serves on the firm’s Public Service Committee and leads the Devonshire Reading Program, which provides volunteers the opportunity to read to Devonshire Elementary School’s third grade students on a weekly basis. She is an active participant in the firm’s Women of Moore & Van Allen (WoMVA) affinity group, serving as a mentor to younger female attorneys, and Young Professionals (YP) Sub-Committee. Additionally, Lesley supports the firm’s pro bono efforts, taking on numerous pro bono estate planning matters each year.
The 50 Most Influential Women list recognizes the important role women play in the greater Charlotte region, local economy and in society. The honorees represent the most influential women in business, government, education, and non‑profit fields and are selected by a panel of business leaders based on professional accomplishment and community involvement.
