Overview

Kirsty Sanchez brings over 10 years of public sector experience in urban planning, zoning, and permitting. Prior to joining the firm, Kirsty was a planning project coordinator for the City of Charlotte where she reviewed large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects for zoning compliance.

During her time with the City of Charlotte, Kirsty administered the city’s urban zone districts, including the Transit Oriented Development District which underwent a full rewrite in 2019. In addition to plan review, Kirsty’s experience includes comprehensive planning, economic development, managing 9 council appointed boards and committees, and shepherding projects through the rezoning process.

With an extensive background in urban planning including, a master's degree in City & Regional Planning, Kirsty provides strategic guidance to clients navigating the complexities of land use regulations, zoning compliance, and development approvals. She works closely with developers, property owners, and municipalities to facilitate mutually beneficial development and finds solutions to challenges that align with client objectives and regulatory requirements.

Outside of her professional work, Kirsty is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), the only nationwide, independent verification of planners' qualifications.
