Moore & Van Allen Welcomes Mark Tibberts to Financial Services Practice
Moore & Van Allen PLLC (MVA) is pleased to announce that Mark Tibberts has joined the firm as member and will practice* in the Financial Services group. Tibberts joins MVA from Baker & McKenzie LLP in its New York office.

Trusted domestically and abroad, Tibberts advises on the development, financing, sale, and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects, including conventional and solar, wind and other renewable energy power plants, coal mines, ports, toll roads, and gas and oil pipeline and storage facilities. Tibberts works with clients involved in these projects across all roles and stages, from gas and electric utilities to developers, infrastructure funds and commercial and government lenders and other investors.
More broadly, Tibberts’ experience encompasses a range of financing and other transactions, including private placements, bank loans, Rule 144a offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. He also drafts and negotiates essential transactional documents such as concession agreements, construction contracts, power sales and fuel supply agreements, operation and maintenance contracts, and power and fuel hedges.
While his practice is rooted in energy and infrastructure project finance and development, his experience has expanded to encompass trade finance. This includes cross-border supply chain and commodities finance and government-sponsored finance involving export credit agencies and development finance institutions.
He earned his J.D. and B.A. from Ohio State University and has over 35 years of experience in Wall Street and international law firms.
