Overview
Trusted domestically and abroad, Mark advises on the development, financing, sale, and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects, including conventional and solar, wind and other renewable energy power plants, coal mines, ports, tolls roads, and gas and oil pipeline and storage facilities. Mark is viewed as an industry leader in project finance and development, adeptly guiding clients through all stages of the transactions.
Mark represents clients in a broad range of financing types:
- Syndicated financing: Construction and term commercial bank loans.
- Capital markets: Private placements, Rule 144A offerings, and tax-exempt bonds.
- Trade finance: Receivables purchase facilities, commodities finance, and supply-chain finance.
- Government-sponsored finance: Cross-border financings supported by export credit agencies and development finance institutions.
Mark has counseled a broad range of clients, including gas and electric utilities, corporate entities, private developers, infrastructure funds, commercial and government lenders, and other investors.
In addition, Mark drafts and negotiates critical transactional documents such as concession agreements, construction contracts, power sales and fuel supply agreements, operation and maintenance contracts, and power and fuel hedges, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy development.
